Better Sleep.

In this episode, I share the what, why, and how’s of sleep.  This my friends is the secret sauce to living a re-ignited lifestyle. Make it your priority!

When did sleep become a bad word?  In college, after pulling an all-nighter, we wore it like a badge of honor.  Doctors go through a grueling process of working long hours during their internship.  Sorry, I want my doctor to be well rested and on his A-game!

Focusing on maximizing not only my sleep quality but also my sleep quality has been a game changer!

Getting enough high-quality sleep has provided my mental and physical being with the necessary resiliency to take on whatever life has to through at me.  Coupled with destressing by owning my morning and I have been able to develop an unbeatable mindset.

It all works in concert.

I no longer stay up the late struggle to find solutions.  I stop work at a decent hour, turn my attention towards those things that bring me joy, especially my family and get a good night’s sleep.  Nine times out of ten the solution appears to my previous day’s challenge.

Every. Time.

Back in the day, it was thought that when you sleep your brain shuts down and relaxes just like the rest of your body.  Your body goes into a restive state couldn’t be further from the truth.  Your body is undergoing a massive regenerative process that will keep you thriving!

Crucial hormones like testosterone and human growth hormone are replenished.  No sleeping, guess what’s going to low in your next blood test. Housekeeping services are cleaning your brain. Lean muscle production is in full swing; cortisol level is on the decline and so much more…

And, yes, your stress level will decrease with a good night’s sleep! You are more equipped to deal with all those modern stresses.  Coupled with owning the morning and you will become an unstoppable machine. Simply make getting sleep a priority.
