Productivity is the buzz word that everyone’s talking about.  The common complaint is there are just not enough hours in the day to do all the things we have to get done.

So, we are all convinced that if we worked a few extra hours we could get the promotion, make more money, and in time be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

It all sounds great, except for one thing: this entire approach is entirely bullshit. Sounds harsh but in fact, it’s also accurate. Therefore your problem is not with time.

You have plenty of time. If you didn’t have plenty of time, you probably wouldn’t have been able to binge watch an entire season of
[INSERT TV SERIES HERE] would you? And you likely wouldn’t have spent so much time on YouTube.

The problem isn’t time – it’s energy. Your internal force, just like your time, is finite, but most noteworthy there’s a larger downside.

Your life force is available in smaller quantities than time and once depleted takes your quality of life with it. As a result, poor time management decisions follow.

Think about it: Imagine if you could jump out of bed first thing in the morning, alive with energy. What would you do with that extra hour of productivity? Hit the gym maybe? Catch up on emails? Prepare your meals ahead of time for healthy eating?

Remember when you were a kid and you could just run around all day without ever seeming to get tired? You had unlimited energy and no problems going into a deep, regenerative sleep.  Wouldn’t it be incredible if you could get that back?
